The Dynamic Memory Lab "Cycles of Decolonisation" is an immersive and interactive exhibition that invites visitors to engage with European colonial history and current decolonial processes. The exhibition addresses ongoing structures of dehumanisation and places humanity at the centre of attention.
Curated by Cátia Severino and André Soares, "Cycles of Decolonisation" brings together contributions from European artists, activists and scholars from the CPPD. Using the example of delivery drivers, the exhibition shows how colonial continuities continue to have an impact in the present day. Visitors gain direct insights into the everyday lives of delivery drivers, whose experiences exemplify ongoing mechanisms of exploitation.
The Dynamic Memory Lab is a temporary space for exhibitions and education that makes plural cultures of memory visible. It pursues an open, exploratory laboratory character and responds flexibly to social debates. The first Dynamic Memory Lab, "Codes of Memory of the Roma and Sinti Communities," was presented in 2023 as part of the "Memory Matters" festival series and is currently touring Europe.
