GAMUT INC is dedicated to exploring the new possibilities of the computer-controlled pipe organ.

re:organ – LABORATORY FOR NEW ORGAN SOUNDS is a new concert series curated by Maximilian Schnaus, organist at the Evangelische Gemeinde am Weinberg.

The focus here is not merely on hyper-virtuoso technique, but above all on what emerges beyond human perception: microscopic shifts, nuanced sonic events, temporal overlays, and rhythmic processes outside a fixed grid. Automation is understood here not as an effect, but as a compositional tool.

The concert features works from the organ album “Radiating,” which consistently explores these possibilities. The music moves between harmonic density and noise-like qualities, between static sound fields and accelerated textures. Layers come into motion, harmonies shift, rhythms emerge from friction and repetition. From this develops a euphorically intoxicating pull that has a physical effect rather than a narrative one: the Schuke organ at the Sophienkirche has never been made to sound this way before.
