“Phoenix.Sun” by Kasia Wolińska is a solo dance piece about destruction, renewal, and change. Accompanied by live music by Heinali and video art, the piece depicts the body in a constant cycle of creation and decay.
Kasia Wolińska’s new dance solo is inspired by Władysław Hasiors’ fire sculptures and stems from the urge to set something ablaze: the choreography becomes a meditation on a world in flames, a ritual of sacrifice marking both mourning and birth. “Phoenix.Sun” is created in collaboration with composer Heinali and video artist Denis Kozerawski: Carried by live music and images, the dancing body on stage undergoes a constant cycle of creation and decay. The work invites the audience to gaze into a sea of flames—to a shared evocation of beauty, horror, and transformation.
