FERTILITY OF STONE SCENT DINNER with Ines Lechleitner and guests

Artist Ines Lechleitner, along with collaborators, experts and fellow researchers, opens a new perspective on what “fertility of stone” can mean. The landscape of ll Giardino dell’Impossibile, built in the former whinstone quarries of Favignana, Sicily, serves as a starting point from which the artist and her co-researcher Alba Balmaseda Domínguez invite us on a journey where the mineral and the vegetal meet.  

The scent “Fertility of Stone” that Ines Lechleitner created for the exhibition at LISBETH brings together a broad range of natural essences derived from plants and minerals that serve as the head, heart and base notes of the scent’s composition. These essences will accompany us through the evening. 

Furthermore, a new dialogue around the materiality of ‘soft stone’ is woven between the artist, the creators of the performance piece Geteilte Echos - Miriam Jakob und Felix Claßen and the geologist Dr.Hannah Davies with whom Ines Lechleitner has collaborated previously.
