Grief ritual for times of transition with grief counselor Pauli Sprang
from 6 to 9 p.m. each day
Six evening appointments in February 2026.
This mourning ritual is not only intended for people who are currently coping with a significant loss, but also invites us to perceive experiences of loss as a fundamental, constant, and unifying part of our humanity.
The seasons remind us that everything is in flux—and that every change can involve loss. The state of our world, our treatment of the planet, and political realities also give us reasons to mourn. Sometimes we experience these as serious and clear-cut, and sometimes as quieter, more diffuse or normalized, making it more difficult to perceive and mourn them in our fast-paced everyday lives. The silence and darkness of winter in particular invite us to turn inward and let go of what must pass away so that new life can become possible.
A mourning ritual offers a safe space to connect with everything that causes us pain. This can be helpful in returning to and honoring what is important to us in life. The clear framework and the relationships we weave in the process can help us connect with our grief in a compassionate way and thereby integrate painful changes into the flow of life.
This offer is not a form of therapy and requires participants to act on their own responsibility. In the event of acute grief, concerns, or questions, please contact us in advance.
Tickets:
There is a sliding scale participation fee of 60 euros, 80 euros, and 100 euros for solidarity.
80 euros is the regular price. Those who can pay 100 euros will be financing a ticket for a person with a lower income. The reduced ticket costs 60 euros.
There are also free reparations places or heavily discounted participation places for people who belong to historically and currently most discriminated groups, such as BiPoC, LGBTQI+*, Jews, Sinti*zze and Rom*nja, and people affected by classism and/or poverty.
