300 years later: shawm meets modern oboe

Early Music | Concert

In the concert, related and yet different instruments meet - oboe and shawm are directly opposite each other with the respective music pieces; the unifying theme is the metamorphosis going back to Ovid. Music is complemented here by words, ancient literature as musical inspiration through the Renaissance to the modern age.

With works by Benjamin Britten, Cristofano Malvezzi, Claudio Monteverdi and others will be heard.
